Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to use Tandem. The Tandem apps and website aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 level AA and EN 301 549, the standard used by the European Accessibility Act.

What we support

  • Full VoiceOver (iPhone, Apple Watch) and TalkBack (Android, Wear OS) labels on every control
  • Dynamic Type and Android font scaling up to the largest sizes
  • Text contrast of at least 4.5:1 and touch targets of at least 44 pt / 48 dp
  • Reduce Motion respected: animations become simple fades
  • Haptic patterns paired with visible text, so no information relies on vibration alone
  • No action needs a complex gesture; every swipe has a button alternative
